- Establish a council-authored strategic plan within the first 90 days, with clear and measurable priorities.
- Provide regular public reporting so residents can see progress and hold council accountable.
Fiscal Discipline & Accountability
- Bring disciplined budget oversight to municipal spending and focus on core services and value for taxpayers.
- Review major spending decisions and capital priorities against community needs, affordability and long-term operating costs.
- Improve transparency so residents can understand where tax dollars are going and why.
A Stronger Business & Industrial Tax Base
- Rebuild and diversify Squamish’s business and industrial tax base so residential taxpayers are not carrying an ever-growing share of the burden.
- Support responsible economic development that creates jobs, investment and lasting municipal revenue.
- Work constructively with employers and industry while protecting the community’s long-term interests.
Reliable Services, Infrastructure & Growth
- Prioritize dependable municipal services and responsible maintenance of infrastructure residents use every day.
